Clara Bannister

Clara B. Bannister, 89, of Farmington passed away May 19, 2022 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center. She was born October 4, 1932 in Harrelson County, GA to the late Alvin and Ruby (Perry) Worthy. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Bannister; son, Robert Dale Bannister; four sisters, Ruth Waltrip, Lois Davis, Rubenell Davis and Helen Driver.

Clara is survived by five children, Elzy Bannister and wife Jan, Patricia Ball and husband Jerry, Melba Johnston (Roy Horn), Gay Black and husband Bill, Eddie Bannister and wife Terri; daughter-in-law, Sandy Bannister; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Verlia “Shorty” Leatherwood and husband Preston.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Rev. Shawn Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Little Vine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
