Clemence William Cox, known to most as "Slim", passed away October 23, 2012 at the Missouri Veteran's Home in St. James, MO. Slim was born May 26, 1927, a son of the late Carl and Matilda (Meese) Cox.
Slim is survived by his three children; David Cox of Costa Mesa, CA, Gail and husband Donald Baldwin of Eddyville, KY, and Betty and husband Chet Simpson of Enoch, UT. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Louise Cox of Yuma, AZ, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren (with one more on the way) as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Slim was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Mary Abbott, his second wife, Yvonne Hicks, and his brother Carl Cox.
Slim served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. After leaving the Navy in 1946, Slim was employed by a tire company and then later worked for East Side Lumber Company in Belleville, IL. In 1969 he and his wife moved to an 80 acre farm in Arcadia where they had cattle....
