Cleta L. Pierce

Mrs. Cleta L. Pierce passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor Nursing Home, at the age of 90 years, 10 months & 3 days. Cleta was born on Dec. 1, 1914, in Bonne Terre, MO., to John & Lura 'Lawson' Ketcherside. Also preceding was: her husband, Vernon F. Pierce (whom she married on May 18, 1933); Son-In-Law: Cole Shannon; Six Brothers & Three Sisters.

Mrs. Pierce was first & foremost a loving wife & mother. She enjoyed flower gardening; was an avid reader; an excellent seamstress & the possessor of a keen wit until the very end. She was a member of the Desloge Methodist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing: Daughters: Diane (Mrs. Jack) Sebastian, of Farmington; Barbara Shannon, of Batavia, IL; 7 Grandchildren: Laura (Mrs. Chris) Neale; Scott (& Robin) Sebastian; Matt (& Cindy) Sebastian; Lynne Sebastian; Kelly (Mrs. Donald) Kramer; Jennifer (Mrs. Tom) Phelan; Chris Shannon (& Stacy Morrison). 12 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Step, Great-Grandchildren; a number of Nieces & Nephews & a Special Friend: Glenda Sebastian. She will be missed greatly by her family & her son-in-law: Jack, who gave her his special love & attention.

Visitation: Friday, 4-8 pm

Visitation Resumes: Sat, 7 am

Funeral : Saturday, 11 am, Oct. 8th

Interment: Parkview Cemetery, Farmington
