Connie Christine Golden, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on Monday, June 13, 1955, to the late Lonnie William and Geraldine (Tripp) Braddy in St. Louis, Missouri.
Connie was a devoted mother to her son Scotty Golden and an adoring grandmother to her grandchildren Jaden and Aston. She found immense joy in nurturing her family, often filling her days with laughter and light. To her nephew, James McNail, Jr., Connie was not just an aunt; she was a big sister and a mother figure, helping to raise him alongside his grandmother. Their bond was unbreakable, as they navigated life together, sharing adventures and making memories that will be forever treasured.
Connie had a passion for life that was mirrored in her love for her dog, Milo, and her green thumb, which allowed her to create beautiful displays of flowers. She had a playful spirit, often brightening the lives of those around her with her delightful humor and mischievous antics. She also found great joy gathering around the table for a good game of gin rummy with her neighbors and family.
Connie is survived by her beloved son, Scotty; her grandchildren, Jaden and Aston; special nephew, James McNail, Jr (Amy), brother, Ronald E. McNail, Sr.; sister-in-law, Karen McNail; brother-in-law, Ron Woodson; and cherished nieces, Kim Chrisholm, Tina Delashmit, along with other nieces and nephews that were dear to her heart.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Donnie McNail, Gary McNail, James McNail, Sr. and Neva Woodson.
Though she leaves a void in our hearts, Connie’s legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will remain forever in our memories. As we gather to honor her spirit, we take comfort in knowing she brought joy to our lives, a light that will never dim.
Memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service of 5:00 p.m., with Pastor Ronnie Rothnlisberger officiating.
