Darlene Hurtgen

Darlene Ann Hurtgen (née White), 71, of Farmington, Missouri, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loved ones on April 24, 2025.

Darlene was born on November 28, 1953, to Chesley and Irene White in Bonne Terre, Missouri. A lifelong resident of St. Francois County, she generously volunteered her time and talents at Bonne Terre Hospital and served as a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bonne Terre Fire Department for over 30 years. A talented seamstress, Darlene was known to all for her kindness, creativity, and steadfast faith in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than three decades, Donald E. Hurtgen, and her brother, Chesley “Butch” White. Darlene is survived by her brother, Marvin L. White; her sister, Carolyn K. La Chance (née White); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who all lovingly knew her as “Mama Neen.”

Family visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Missouri, followed by public visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. A service celebrating Darlene’s life will begin at 6:00 P.M.
