David "Dave" Joseph Morgan, age 63, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home near Fredericktown. Missouri surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 20, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles and Elizabeth (Scavatta) Morgan.

Dave and his wife, Stephanie, were married on September 29, 1979, in Arnett, Oklahoma where they resided until 1983 when they moved to Missouri near his hometown. Together they were blessed with three children; Amiee, Sarah, and Ryan; nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Morgan; sister, Susan Braswell; sister-in-law, Tracey Morgan and brother-in-law, Michael Stephens.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Stephanie Lee (Patton) Morgan; children – Aimee Morgan of Park Hills, Missouri, Sarah (Shawn) Rodgers of Farmington, Missouri and Ryan Morgan of Bonne Terre, Missouri; grandchildren – Gabrielle (Jackson) Plummer of Farmington, Jellie Rodgers and fiancé, Curtis Buxton of Warrenton, Missouri, Tori Rodgers also of Warrenton, Caitlyn Morgan of San Diego, California, Brendon Manser of Desloge, Missouri, Alex Manser of Bonne Terre, William Rodgers of Farmington, Abigail Morgan of Bonne Terre and Amelia Morgan also of Bonne Terre; one great granddaughter, Magnolia Plummer of Farmington; siblings – Bill Morgan, Becky Chaplin, Allen (Julia) Morgan, Chris (Kelly) Morgan all of Fredericktown, Mary Morgan of Park Hills and Jean (Terry) Stevens of Fredericktown; sister-in-law – Debbie Stephens of Mangum, Oklahoma; brother-in-law – Mike (Karen) Patton of Schulenburg, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends whom he loved like family.

Dave had been known to encourage others to leave things better than it was found; he had a positive impact on so many people, friends, family and even perfect strangers. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand, one thing is certain, he left this world a better place.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., also on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Smith officiating.

Interment will be at a later date.
