David Robert Parson, age 88 of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on November 4, 1927 in Mill Creek, Missouri, a son of John Lindsey and Christina Elizabeth (Winch) Parson.
On October 28, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Shelton, she preceded him in death on April 29, 2010. His parents and three brothers - Roscoe, Grover and Otto Parson and one sister, Helen Francis also precedes him.
Those surviving include: two sons - John Parson and wife Janet of Festus, Missouri and Bob Parson and wife Vicky of Hillsboro; one daughter - Christina Parson of Crystal City, Missouri; one brother - Howard Parson of Perryville, Missouri; one sister - Virginia Cooper of Fredericktown; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
David was a United States Army Veteran, he retired as a welder from INDEECO in St. Louis and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He attended the First Baptist Church in Festus and enjoyed being outdoors doing gardening and yard work.
Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Dr. Charles McLain officiating.
Internment will be at Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.
