Deborah "Debbie" Portell

Deborah “Debbie” Portell, 56, of Farmington passed away October 1, 2021, at Mercy St. Louis.  She was born May 8, 1965, in Gary, Indiana to Kenny “Kenneth”  and Carol (White) Hampton. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenny Hampton.  Debbie worked for 20 years at Mineral Area College in the financial aid department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Park Hills. She especially loved her grandkids softball, and soccer games and just being around family at all of their activities.

               Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Ed Portell; two sons, Cory (Tiffany) Marler, and Kenny Marler; three grandchildren, Kensey, Alice, and Jackson Marler; mother, Carol (White) Hampton. She was mother to all, had a big heart and will be dearly missed by many loving friends, colleagues and family.

              Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Tuesday , October 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Eddie Bone officiating.  Burial to follow at Hampton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made  to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  View obituary and share condolences online at www.www.czboyer.com
