Deborah Ann Smith of Belleview, Missouri passed away December 22, 2022, in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 70 years. She was born November 8, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late Wilburn and Betty Lou (Street) McLeod. On December 17, 1994, she was united in marriage to Richard Wayne Smith who survives. Four children are left to mourn her passing: John D. Wood (Melissa) of Belleview, Terri Johnson (Jimmy) of Arnold, Michael Wood (Rachel) of Desloge, and Justine Ellis (Adam Elder) of Belleview; two bonus children: Joy Jean Williams of Potosi, and Jeffery Smith (Anica) of Desloge; and eleven grandchildren: Ethan, Cierra, Micah, Maddox, Deborah, Elizabeth, Cole, Cadence, Jensen, Connor, and Abby Joy; and two great grandchildren: Rylee and Lincoln. Debbie is also survived by six sisters: Cheri Paisley of Ironton, Beverly Hellon of Bland, Candace Baun of Farmington, Lisa Bolling (Jim) of Ironton, Laura Shaw of Farmington, and Rhonda Holbert (Rabbit) of Potosi as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. In addition to her parents, Debbie was also preceded in death by three brothers: Bob McLeod, Dan McLeod, and Lanny McLeod. Debbie loved and adored all children, but especially her grandchildren. She bought them all kinds of toys and pretty things. She would stand up for children in any situation. She also loved dogs and bred and raised AKC German Shepherds. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 12:00 noon from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Jones officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
