Della Marie Roach

Della Marie (Ackerson) Roach of Pilot Knob, Missouri passed away June 29, 2015 at Iron County Medical Center at the age of 89 years. She was born on January 23, 1926 in Desloge, Missouri, the daughter of the late John and Sophia (DeClue) Ackerson. On June 23, 1942 she was united in marriage to Raymond Roach who preceded her in death on August 13, 1973. To this union two children were born; Billie Stringer of Arcadia, Missouri and George and wife Judy Roach of Union, Missouri; two grandchildren and many friends. Della is preceded in death by her parents John and Sophia Ackerson, her husband Raymond Roach, a brother Harold Ackerson, and one grandson James Stringer. Della worked for thirteen years at the Baptist Home, and prior to that was a beautician for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ironton.
