Denny Stroup

Denny Lee Stroup, 80, of Imperial passed away March 5, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born March 2, 1938 in Leadwood. Denny was a member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church. He retired in 1998 from Midwest Gas after 32 years of employment. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan “Sid” and Bessie (House) Stroup; son, Morgan “Marty” Stroup; daughter, Lisa Ellen Stroup; brother, Albert Stroup; sister, Phyllis Thompson.

Denny is survived by his loving wife of 59 and a half years, Rhonda (Price) Stroup; son, Dennis Stroup of St. Louis; daughter-in-law, Terri Stroup; grandson, Josh Stroup of Herculaneum; brother, Tom Stroup of Jackson; brother-in-law, David Thompson; sister-in-law, Colleen Stroup.

Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Jackson Watts officiating, assisted by Rev. Bob Price. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
