Diana "Dundi" Honold

          Diana “Dundi” Honold, 74, of DeSoto, passed away April 30, 2022, at Mercy Jefferson in Festus.  She was born August 20, 1947, in Flat River, to the late Roy and Helen Elaine (Kelley) Honbeck.  Dundi attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City.  She went to college at Mineral Area College and SIU in Carbondale, Illinois and later worked for the United States Postal Service.  Dundi later retired as an Administrative Assistant from the Sunrise R-9 School District.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, but her greatest joy was getting together with her family especially during the holidays and cooking large meals.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Leona Stephens and Dennis Leon Honbeck in infancy.

          Dundi is survived by her husband, James Michael Honold; children, Kimberly (Kirk) Mooney, Kevin (Dixie) Richardson, Melanie (Scott) Harrison, Justin (Julia) Honold; grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, Emma, Cody, Reid, Connor, Allison and Ariel; great-granddaughter, Maple; siblings, Richard “Butch” Honbeck and Cindy (Donnie) Langley; nieces, Shellie Honbeck-Pickering, Jenny Hogendobler and Jessie Meyer; nephews, Eddie Stephens and Eric Stephens.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Caldwell Chapel, in Park Hills, Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM.  Pastor Roger Hogan will be officiating, assisted by her son in-law, Kirk Mooney.
