Diane Sue (AuBuchon) Harrington age 63 of Farmington passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 20, 2018. Diane was born July 7, 1954 in Farmington to the late Robert Joseph AuBuchon, Sr. and Lola Della (Jordan) AuBuchon. She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald AuBuchon.
Diane is survived by her siblings, Nancy (the late John) Crow, Robert Joseph Jr (Valerie), Debra (Daryl) Lumos and mother-in-law Pauline (Vernon) Harrington. She was an Aunt and Great-Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Diane was joined in marriage to Richard K. Harrington on August 24, 1973. These high-school sweethearts were the best of friends and seldom apart in their 44 years of marriage. Born to this union were three children Angela (Kyle) Mertz, Amy (Travis) Gollub and Ryan Harrington, in whom they are so proud of. Diane cherished being a grandma to three precious grandchildren Maggie and Ella Mertz, and Atlas Gollub.
Diane was owner and operator of Diane’s Cakery and made delicious cakes for birthdays and weddings for over 40 years. She was so talented in artistic abilities, with beautiful artwork and paintings as well as daily devotional messages that shared her love of others through Jesus Christ.
Diane was a loving and true friend to so many people fortunate enough to know her. She was always available to listen and share her love in whatever your circumstance. She enjoyed life and couldn’t pass up snapping a photo of a beautiful sunrise and sunset, flowers in a field, or big fluffy clouds.
She was the kind of rare person everyone wanted to be with. She made your life better just by being part of it. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend that will be sorely missed.
There will be a Fellowship with Family on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 4:00 PM until a Celebration of Life at 6:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the United Way of St. Francois County. unitedwayofsfc.org
