Dixie Jo Shunk

Dixie Jo Shunk of Ironton, Missouri passed away September 2, 2019 at her residence at the age of 82 years. She was born December 7, 1936 in Ironton, Missouri the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (McLeod) Wadlow. On July 27, 1955 she was united in marriage to Joe Earl Shunk Sr. who survives. To this union two sons were born; Joe Shunk Jr. and Paul "Andy" Shunk who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings; Eddie Wadlow, Homer Wadlow, Merle Wadlow, Robert Wadlow, Stanley Wadlow, Daniel Wadlow, Joyce "June" Comfort, and Esquolene Powell. Dixie is survived by her grandchildren; Jennifer Bachand and husband, Michael of Ironton, Missouri and Christopher Shunk, her great grandchildren; Kylie and Devin Bachand and Dillion Christopher Shunk as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
