Donald Gerard Eckrich Sr.

Donald Gerard Eckrich Sr. of Ironton passed away March 5, 2020 at his residence at the age of 68 years. He was born November 24, 1951 in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of the late Donald John and Eleanor Mae (Christel) Eckrich. On July 13, 1985, Don was united in marriage and is survived by Sheila Marie Becker. He was a loving father to Crystal (Shad) Koger of Fairfax, Richard (Dory) Hackett of Ironton, Donald (Amy) Eckrich Jr. of Festus, Nicole (Mike) Blaylock of Festus, and Tiffany (Tim) Bollinger of St. Louis. Also surviving are two brothers; Joseph (Faye) Eckrich of Fenton, James Eckrich of St. Louis, Pamela (Ron) Bub of St. Louis, Patricia (Joe) Taylor also of St. Louis, thirteen grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Don was a proud Union member who made his living as a welder/maintenance mechanic. He loved reading and was a Civil War buff. Don was an avid sports fan.
