Donald "Duck" Laird Sr.

Donald Ray Laird Sr., known to everyone as "Duck" passed away December 20, 2021, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 75 years. He was born May 25, 1946, in Graniteville, Missouri the son of the late Carl Frank and Helen Francis (Farmer) Laird. On January 7, 1972, he was united in marriage to Ginger Darlene Lashley who preceded him in death on July 24, 2015. To this union two children were born: Donald Laird Jr. who preceded him in death in 1996 and Carman Campbell (Shannon) of Ironton, Missouri. Duck is also survived by his grandson and sidekick, Sawyer Laird of Graniteville, Missouri, two brothers: Ronnie Laird (Jackie) and Darald "Pole" Laird both of Graniteville and his sister, Sally Keith (Arlin) of Fredericktown, Missouri. He was a favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, son, and parents, Duck was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Laird and a sister, Glenda McIntyre.
