Donald Wisely

          Donald Wisely, 76, of Doe Run, passed away November 21, 2022, at Parkland South in Farmington.  He was born September 29, 1946, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Donald Charles Wisely, Sr. and Betty Ann (Taylor) Collins.  Donald served his country in the United States Army, where he served two tours in Vietnam as a medic.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Delassus and Desloge VFW #2426.  He still had the old school values and beliefs, which he demonstrated to all who knew him.  Donald enjoyed camping, fishing, grilling, spending time outdoors and with his family, but most of all, he loved his church and grandchildren.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Jacob Barnhouse; and sister, Roseerin Collins.

          Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Patricia (Ray) Wisely; children, Chadd Daniel (Abigail) Sargent, Amanda Marie (Tabitha) Sutton, and Melissa Sue (Harry “Bryan”) Moser; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one brother, Dennis Wisely.

          A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM.  A procession will follow at 11:45 AM, to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, for a 1:00 PM graveside service with full military honors.
