Donna May Obolla was born on November 15, 1964, in Flat River, Missouri, the second oldest of four siblings, Ray and Harold Grindstaff and Sheila Kharfaoui to Harold and May (Bellew) Grindstaff. Her father passed away when she was thirteen years of age; she was attending Flat River Elementary School and proceeded to graduate from Central High in Park Hills, Missouri. She went on to attend Southeast Missouri University where she met Martin Obolla. After his graduation he moved to St. Louis, and she later followed and soon they married. She started working for a temporary employment agency, this gave her the opportunity to learn many computer systems which would later open many doors for her. She finally took a permanent position with a company called GEAC which she was later transferred to Florida. While there she became medically disabled and moved back to Missouri. Donna was an accomplished pianist and loved to play whenever she could; she was pleasant to be around and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Martin Obolla of St. Louis; son – Josh Obolla of Bonne Terre; her mother – May Leonard of Farmington; Brothers - Donald Grindstaff and wife Sheila and Harold Grindstaff and wife Jodi; Stepbrother – Jack Leonard and wife Barbara; Grandchildren: Micah and Sophia Obolla; Significant Other – Bob Underwood of Bonne Terre; Stepsons and stepdaughters - Billy, Amanda, Pamela, David, Kimberly Underwood and several step grandchildren. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one brother – Lonnie Grindstaff; one sister – Sheila Kharfaoui and stepfather – Lefty Leonard. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri. Services will be held at 5:00 p.m., also on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home Bro. Bob Thebeau officiating. Interment will be in the Central Community Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be posted on this website.
