Donna Lee Tillotson-Riggs of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away at her home on January 3, 2025. Born May 11, 1956 in Lewiston, Maine, Donna is the daughter of (the late) John Charles Goffin and his wife Betty Lou (Ryea) Goffin, who resides in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Donna was one of a kind. She was energetic and unfiltered. She said what she thought, and you always knew where you stood with her. She was loyal to her friends and was very outgoing. Donna loved to travel, both with her husband and their friends, but also on trips with her girlfriends. She especially enjoyed time spent with her “book club” of girlfriends. A lover of nature, Donna spent much of her free time outside landscaping her home, providing tender care to her plants and flowers, and harvesting vegetables for her family and community. Known to many as steadfast and headstrong, Donna could—and usually did— accomplish any task she set her mind to. Donna also loved animals! She had many that she cared for, but she also fostered and found homes for more furry friends than she could count. Even when she became ill and began her fight with cancer, she never let depression into her home. She maintained a positive outlook and continued to laugh with her husband and friends. On April 21, 2000, she was united in marriage to her best friend, Garland Riggs of Fredericktown, Missouri. In addition to her husband and mother, Donna is also survived by her brother, John Goffin and his wife, Judie of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and her two sisters: Marriann Goffin and her fiancé Richard Gordon of Danvers, Massachusetts, and Elaine Moon and her husband Ronald, of Ipswich, Massachusetts; her stepdaughter Brittany Riggs of Farmington, Missouri; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many, many friends. Visitation for Donna will be held on SATURDAY, January 11, 2025, from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel in Pilot Knob, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial gifts to be made in Donna’s memory to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
