Doris Jean Barger

Doris Jean Barger, age 81 passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in Doe Run, Missouri. She was born on January 13, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of Ben Thomas and Juanita Wood (Blue) Lindsey.    On January 31, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri she was united in marriage to William "Richard" Barger, he preceded her in death on August 16, 2000. Her parents and two sons - Jerry and Butch, seven brothers - Jack, Joe, Darrell, Mike, Nelson, Gordon and Dewey also precedes her.  She is survived by her daughters - Sue Baker and Debbie Barger both of Doe Run; brother - Albert "WeeGee" Lindsey of Fredericktown; sisters - Bessa (Melvin) Starkey of Mine LaMotte, Missouri and Lorna "Tuttie" (Howard) VanHuss of Wappapello, Missouri; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.     Doris had worked at the Trimfoot Manufacturing Company in Farmington, Missouri; she enjoyed crafts, woodworking, playing bingo and spending time with her family. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Michael officiating.
