Doris Jean Jenkerson

Doris “Jean” Jenkerson was born in Clearwater, Missouri, in Ste. Genevieve County, to the late James Cheslie, and Edith Martin Head on Tuesday, October 12, 1937 and passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the age of 86. Jean was a member of the FAITH Baptist Church in Farmington. 

 In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Arthur “Red” Jenkerson in 2015; sisters, Dorothy Boyd, Ethel Head, Ruby Bloom, Alma Winch and June Stone; brothers, Delmar and Larry Head; and grandson, Jonathan Bloom. 

She is survived by her daughters Vicki (husband Elbert) Kyle, Barbara (husband David) Duncan and son, Sidney “Sid” (wife Yvonne) Bloom; she leaves six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and one brother in-law, Nelson Stone; stepchildren, Pamela (husband Bill) Francis, Kenneth (Delayn) Jenkerson and Sandra (husband Gene) Howell, and Arlene, wife of the late Keith Jenkerson and their families also survive. 

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home - Taylor Chapel in Farmington on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until service time of 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Bart Goetz officiating. There will be a private burial at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to donor’s choice of Christian ministries.
