Doris L. Compton

Doris L. (Marler) Compton, 93 of Park Hills, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Mineral Area Hospital in Farmington.She was born September 20, 1919 to the late Henry and Annie (Forshee) Marler. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Womens Auxillary in Leadington and a graduate of the old Frankclay High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as; husband, Paul Compton; grandson, Mark Compton; 1 brother and 4 sisters. Doris is survived by children, Rhonda (Mrs. Bill) Mayberry, David (Janet) Compton, Daniel (Wanda) Compton; grandchildren, Debbie (Fred)Labruyere, Anita Brown, Angie Lawson, Andrea Compton, Amy (Jack) Howell, Billy Joe Mayberry, Melinda (Terrell) Carter, and Jill Compton; great-grandchildren, Jake Lawson, Jamie Drummonds, Blake Stevens, Sydni Dowd, BJ Mayberry, Malik Carter, and Victoria Carter; great-great-grandchildren, Kade, Grace, Holden, and Isaiah. The family will be accepting friends, Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.The service will be Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Roever officiating.Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.Memorials may go to the Alzheimers Association.
