Dorothy Lee Brotherton

Dorothy Lee Brotherton, age 96 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at ther Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown. She was born on October 14, 1920 in Fredericktown, a daughter of Edward and Harriett (Carlton) McClellan. On June 29, 1941 in Patton, Missouri she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Brotherton, he preceded her in death on January 11, 1993. Her parents, brothers - Earl, Lloyd and Clinton McClellan and sisters - Ethel, Nellie, Eula and Myrtle also precedes her.  Those surviving include: two sons - Charles (Dorothy) Brotherton II of Wappapello, Missouri and Robert (Mary) Brotherton Jr. of Fredericktown; one sister - Bessie Hewitt of Riverside, California; four grandchildren - Tracy Brotherton, Charles Brotherton III, Robert (Kendra) Brotherton and Michael (Yvette) Brotherton; three great-grandchildren - McKayla, Emrick and Evie Brotherton.  Dorothy had worked for Brown Shoe Company in Fredericktown; she enjoyed walking, crocheting and reading the Bible; she was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church.     Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor officiating. Internment will be at Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.   Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lake Wappapello United Methodist Church Food Pantry.    Condolences may be posted on this website.
