Dorothy Hurt

Dorothy Louise Hurt, 77, of Doe Run passed away April 16, 2016 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital. She was born June 16, 1938 in Esther, to the late Robert James and Ruth (Baker) Marion.

She was a member of the St. Charles chapter of Eastern Star.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Joel “Red” Hurt Jr.; daughter, Ellen (Feeler) Sweet; granddaughters, Brandi Jackson, and Dakota Adams; brother, Richard Marion.

She is survived by her children, Belinda (Brad) Shelly, Glenda (Daniel) Boone, Mike (Jeannie) Feeler, James (Tammy) Feeler, Mary Melissa (Tom) Brown, Kitty Rolens, Angela (Ron Sulik) Adams, Matt (Roxann) Hurt; 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday April 18, 2016 from 4 pm to 9 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Rocky Good officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
