Dorothy Jennings

          Dorothy Jennings, 95, of Desloge, passed away November 10, 2022, at Parkland South in Farmington.  She was born August 16, 1927, in Flat River, to the late John Wesley and Grace (Hackworth) Currington.  Dorothy was a former member of Presbyterian Church of Flat River.  She had served on the library board in Desloge and was an avid reader and loved to receive and give birthday cards.  Dorothy also enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family, but most of all, her grandchildren were her life.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, David Jennings; siblings, Norma Manalokis, Glenda Sappington, Johnny and Gerald Currington.

          Dorothy is survived by her four children, Myra (Don Burns) Kaiser, Mary Porter and husband Brad, David Jennings, Jr. and wife Mary Ann, and Phil Jennings; grandchildren, Tracy (Levi) Wright, Kyle (Mari) Porter, Jordan Porter, Erin (Andrew) Guggenberger, Sarah (Erik) Schonhardt, Alicia (Kris) Rauh, Melissa Jennings, Laura (Scott) McClain and Dana (Blake) Driskell; honorary granddaughter, Josie; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Makenna, Kyson, Rylan, Kamden, Kirby, Madison, Brandt, Koby, Caleb and Anna Grace; one brother, Dennis Currington; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members, also survive.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The visitation will resume Monday, November 14, 2022, at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Michael Barton officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington.  Memorials may be directed to Disabled Veterans Organization.
