Dorothy Kemp

Dorothy Pauline Kemp, 96, of Bismarck passed away August 17, 2022 at Country Meadows Nursing Center in Park Hills. She was born October 19, 1925 in Centerville, MO to the late Clarence and Elsie (Russell) Asberry. Dorothy was a very accomplished seamstress and enjoyed working around her home. She especially enjoyed gardening, canning and crocheting. She loved watching her grandsons play baseball, which began her love of the St. Louis Cardinals. She would watch them every chance she could.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Kemp; one sister, Gladys Smith; one grandson, Greg Pipkin.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Doris Reeves and husband Farrell, Sharon Pipkin and husband Larry; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, James Asberry.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge with Pastor Mike Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Bismarck Masonic Cemetery.
