Ms. Dorothy Helen Kimbel

Dorothy "Helen" Kimbel of Ironton, MO passed away January 27, 2012 in Farmington, MO at the age of 86 years. She was born August 10, 1925 in Malden, MO the daughter of John Jefferson and Edna M. (Robbins) Cook. On November 9, 1940 she was united in marriage to Alvin Theodore Kimbel who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1990. To this union ten children were born; Linda L. Dennison of Pilot Knob, MO, Johnny Ray Kimbel of Fairfield, CA, Jack W. Kimbel of Ironton, MO, Terry Lane Kimbel of Deer Park, TX, Kenneth Dale Kimbel of Witchita, KS, Judith Ann Borders of Radcliff, KY, David Joe Kimbel of Elizabethtown, KY, Sondra Kay Burns of Leesville, LA, Debra Lynn Burke of Elizabethtown, KY, and Betty Jean Stevens of Rose Pine, LA. Also surviving is her sister Wanda Duval of Elizabethtown, KY, 25 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by two sisters; Florence L. Sutton and Delma Dean Pfeffer. Helen attended the First Assembly of God Church in Farmington, MO. Funeral services will be held on January 31, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hugh Cerutti and Rev. Mel Rowland officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 – 8 p.m. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Southbrook Nursing Home Activities Dept.
