Dorothy M. Smith

Mrs. Dorothy M. 'Thomas' Smith passed away Sunday evening, November 8, 2015, at the Jefferson Mercy Hospital in Festus, Missouri, at the age of 87 years, 7 months & 25 days. Dorothy was born on March 13, 1928, in Esther, Missouri, and was the daughter of Harry R. Thomas & Selma Marie 'Meyer' Thomas. Also preceding-in-death were : her husband, Robert B. "Bob" Smith, on August 16, 2008, and a sister Barbara Eaton (that was stillborn).

Dorothy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington; the LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) & former member of Farmington Business & Professional Women's club. Dorothy was a member of the Clearview Neighbors Club & retired from Mineral Area Regional Medical Center.

Survivors Include : 3 children - Glenn Joseph (& Carla) Smith, of Shelbyville, KY; Jane Ann (& Mark) Basler, of Farmington & George Alan Smith, of Farmington. 1 brother - Duane (& Nadine) Thomas, of Farmington. 1 sister - Janet (& John) Williams, of Farmington. 4 grandchildren - Laura Ann (& Matt) Bavoso; Emily & Andrew Basler; Meredith (& Derrick) Bohannon. Also surviving are 2 great-grandchildren, Braydon & Kole Patrick Bavoso.
