Dorothy Mcdaniel

            Dorothy McDaniel, 78, of Farmington, passed away January 11, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 9, 1937 in Flat River, to the late Joseph Wesley and Celia (Combs) Pope. Dorothy was a member of the Desloge First Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, JoEllen Dunham; brothers, Nelson, Adolf, Jesse, and Joe Pope; sisters, Viola Harris, Betty Jane Robertson, and Ruby Pope.

            Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, James David McDaniel; one daughter, Crystal Dawn (Mrs. Byron) Huebschen of Fredericktown; and one brother, Arthur “Gene” Eugene (Wanda) Pope.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday, January 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bradford Laubinger officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church’s choir or children’s ministry.
