Dorothy Mckee

          Dorothy McKee, 79, of Watauga, Texas, formerly of Esther, passed away September 20, 2022.  She was born November 12, 1942, in Cantwell, to the late James Othel McDaniel and Helen Beatrice (Douglas) McDaniel-Walker.  Dottye’s most recent church affiliation was with Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Keller, TX.  She enjoyed talking on the phone, but her love was her family, friends and researching ancestry.  Dottye worked for many years at American Airlines in various capacities including the Sabre Department.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dave, Bob and Joe McDaniel; and one niece, Jo Ellen (McDaniel) Dunham.

          Dottye is survived by her husband, Billy Joe McKee; nieces, Crystal Huebschen, Pam Nelson and Lisa Ferguson; nephews, Jim, Darren and Jason McDaniel; several great-nieces and nephews, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, September 26, 2022, from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM.  Pastor Mike Harrison will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County.  Memorials may be directed to the Disabled Veterans.
