Edgar Propst

Mr. Charles Edgar Propst passed away early Wednesday evening, August 19, 2009, at the age of 88 years, 7 months & 4 days. Charles was born on January 15, 1921, in Sabula, Missouri, to Charles & Grace 'Pannebacker' Propst. Also preceding-in-death were: a daughter, Patricia Faye Saladin (1983); and 2 Brothers - Thurman & Elmer Propst.

Edgar was a US NAVY Veteran of World War II. He was a barber for 50+ years and the owner/operator of Propst Barber Shop. Edgar was also a member of the Farmington First Baptist Church.

Survivors Include: his wife, Leona Lou 'Martin' Propst, of Farmington. 3 Sons: Gary (& Jo) Propst, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Larry (& Daphne) Propst, of Sanford, Florida; Darryl (& Angela) Propst, of Farmington. 1 Half-Brother: George (& Annetta) Pierson, of Medford, Oregon. Also surviving are 5 Granddaughters & 7 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation : Friday, 6-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Saturday, 11:00 a.m., August 22, 2009

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating.

Interment with Military Honors follows at Parkview Cemetery, Farmington.
