Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Matilda 'Krapf' BOYD passed away Monday, April 11, 2011, at her St. Francois Manor residence, Farmington, at the age of 85 years, 9 months & 6 days. Elizabeth was born July 5, 1925, in Glennonville, MO., and was the daughter of Gospert P. Krapf & Anna P. 'Siebert' Krapf. Also preceding were: her husband, Norman A. Boyd (Sept. 21, 1994); 2 sisters - Margaret Ribbing & Dorothy Butzen; 2 brothers - Joseph Krapf & Edgar Krapf.
Betty was a longtime, faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Farmington. She married Norman A. Boyd on Feb. 9, 1947. Betty was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladie's Auxilary #5896 of Farmington. She was an active citizen of Farmington politics and known as "The Watchdog" in local newspapers.
Survivors Include : 2 sons, Greg (& Carol) Ribbing, of Poplar Bluff, MO., & Joseph (& Patty) Ribbing, of Farmington. 6 Sisters: Georgiana "Jean" VanderBol, of Farmington; Marcella "Sally" Hulsholf, of Portageville, MO; Marie Ellis, of Poplar Bluff, MO; Agnes "Peg" Thacker, of Poplar Bluff, MO., Alberta "Burt" Blume, of Lake Village, AR & Lorena Widenbenner, of Weingarten. 1 Brother: Louis Krapf, of Farmington. 4 Grandchildren: Tyler & Travis Ribbing, of Farmington; Brandi Camden & Cameron Ribbing, of Poplar Bluff, MO. Also surviving are 4 Great-Grandchildren; numerous Nieces & Nephews.
There will be No Local Visitation -or- Services.
Private Services & Interment will take place at St. Teresa Catholic Church Cemetery in Glennonville, MO.
