Ellen Taylor

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ellen Blair-Taylor, who passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born to the late Pearl and Rennie (Heinricks) Stinnett on Wednesday, July 4, 1945, in Bonne Terre.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas "Tom" Taylor; children, Thomas "Joe" Matthew, Clavey "Sonny" Matthews, Samuel "Sam" Wright, Tamara "Tammy" Wright: siblings, James, Joe, Steven, Charlie, Cecil, Albert, James "Jr.", Linda and Raymond. 

She retired from Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center in Farmington where she worked as a certified nursing assistant. Prior to her declining health, Ellen loved working jigsaw puzzles, engaging in lively board games, enjoying peaceful walks in the park and watching the St Louis Cardinals. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 She is survived by her loving son, Leslie Wright; cherished grandchildren, Chelsi Matthews, Jessica McHenry, Kelly McHenry II and Matthew McHenry; great-grandchildren, Railei, Jaxxtn and Carter McHenry, Cali Moon, Cayden, Trenden, Maddy and Austin (Peanut) Clubbs; siblings, Iva, Glenda, Frank, Vernon and Ellic, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who adored her.

 Memorial visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the Celebration of Life service 11:00 AM.
