Elmer Louis Reed

Mr. Elmer Louis Reed passed away late Wednesday morning, September 9, 2015, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital at the age of 88 years, 2 months & 15 days. Elmer was born on June 24, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, and was the son of Clayton Ellis Reed and Mary Mildred 'Parks' Reed. Also preceding-in-death were: 2 sons - Danny Reed & Ricky Reed. Also,1 brother, Clayton Reed.

Elmer was united in marriage on August 8, 1947, to Norma G. 'Mabuce' Reed. Elmer was a member of the Abundant Life Family Church of Farmington. Elmer was a US ARMY Veteran of World War II.

Survivors Include : his wife of 68 years, Norma Reed, of Farmington. 1 daughter, Karen Reed, of Farmington. 1 son, Michael (& Renee) Reed, of St. Louis. 1 brother, Oran (& June) Reed, of Pevely, MO. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild

Funeral Service : Sat., 2 pm, Sept. 12, 2015, with Rev. Ricky Hensley officiating

LeadBelt Patriot Guard Riders will lead the funeral procession to Crestlawn Cemetery, Ste. Genevieve, MO., for burial with Full Military Honors
