Mrs. Elvie Lorine King passed away Tuesday evening, March 26, 2002, at The Camelot Nursing Center, in Farmington, at the age of 87 years, 8 months & 1 day. She was born July 25, 1914, in Esther, Mo., to Daniel & Rosella 'Merritt' Miller. Also preceding were: 3 Sisters: Viola Winebarger; Pearl & Goldie Miller. 6 Brothers: John Quincy Miller; Marvin Miller; Dan F. "Shortie" Miller; Eugene Miller; Jessie Hamilton Miller; Curtis Monroe Miller. 1 Grandson, Dwayne Finch. Elvie was a member & Sunday School teacher for many years at the Farmington First Assembly of God Church. She was married to Edward E. King for 66 years. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Her HUSBAND: Edward E. King, Farmington; 3 DAUGHTERS: Louise 'Mrs. Ray' Caringer, Herculaneum, MO; Linda Clinger, Farmington; Mary 'Mrs. James' Finch, Farmington; 2 SONS: Donald L. (& Marilyn) King, Farmington; William Edward (& Jan) King, Poplar Bluff; 2 SISTERS: Bernice Marcrum, River Aux Vases, MO; & Elnora 'Mrs. Jim' Thayer, Republic, MO; 1 BROTHER: Noah F. (& Lena) Miller, Stoney Point, MO; 14 Grandchildren & 19 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation Thursday resuming Friday, 7:00 a.m., & funeral Friday, 1:00 p.m., March 29, 2002, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Hugh Cerutti; Rev. Joe Kochis & Rev. Ray Caringer officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County. Memorials to: The Juvenile Diabetes Association.
