Eric L. Light

Eric L. Light of Arcadia, Missouri went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2025 in Pilot Knob, Missouri surrounded by his loving family. He was 69 years old. He was born on September 17, 1955 in Ironton, Missouri the son of the late Louis Eugene and Juanita Marie (Chronister) Light Sr. On December 24, 1974 he was united in marriage to Lisa Marie Graham who survives. They are the parents of two daughters: Elizabeth Marler (Chris Bushong) of Middlebrook, Missouri and Erin Womble of Belleview, Missouri. Five grandchildren are left to mourn their grandpa: Megan Marler, Logan Carr, Madelyn Marler, Tyler Womble, and Delaney Light and five great grandchildren. Eric is also survived by two brothers: Robert “Bob” Light of Morrilton, Arkansas, and Gene Light (Dana Tripp) of Pilot Knob, Missouri as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by his brother: Delmar “Paul” Light Sr. and sister-in-law, Faith Light and his grandson; Thatcher Carr. Eric was a 1974 graduate of Arcadia Valley High School. He worked for thirty plus years as a meatcutter with sixteen of those years being for Davis Meat Plant. Eric loved to hunt, especially deer and turkey. He also enjoyed fishing and being outside in nature. When his health declined, he still enjoyed nature by watching all types of nature shows on TV. Eric loved to play baseball in his younger years and was quite gifted in this sport. He enjoyed music and was a talented harmonica player. Eric was an active member of the Glover Baptist Church for many years until his health no longer allowed him to attend church on a regular basis. He served the church as both a trustee and for a short time as a deacon. Above all else, family was most important to Eric. He loved his wife, daughters, and his grandchildren. He loved spoiling his grandchildren. Eric will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hagerty officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to The Gideons or The Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.
