Erica Lindsay (Ingracia) Gacem passed away on October 21, 2026, at forty-four years of age. She was born on February 13, 1982, at Parkland Hospital in Farmington to the late James Ingracia, and is survived by her husband, Samir “Sam” Gacem, her mother, Kaye Michael, and step-father, Lawerence Michael.
Erica was a graduate of Farmington High School class of 2000, where she was active in marching band, acapella choir, color guard, and winter guard.
She pursued a nursing career, graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. Upon graduation, she became involved in the Traveling Nurse Program where she was deployed to various hospitals throughout the United States.
Erica and Sam enjoyed traveling, attending baseball games, concerts, and spending much time with their beloved dog, Cooper.
Erica’s compassion, empathy, and caring nature coupled with her ability to work calmly and efficiently under chaotic, often traumatic conditions, made her an invaluable asset to the emergency room staff with whom she worked, and where she received numerous accolades from her fellow medical co-workers.
Erica devoted much of her time to fostering drug dependent and recovering addicts around the United States. She was a pillar of strength, determination, and hope to the many in throes of despair who fell under her shadow. She touched the lives of so many who owe their recovery to her.
Erica will be deeply missed by so many friends, relatives in the Farmington area, as well as the many friends she acquired across the United States.
Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son—Taylor Chapel. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. Please check back for service details.
