Erma Holdman

Erma Holdman, age 90, of Riverdale, Georgia, formerly of Bismarck passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation in Cherryville, North Carolina. She was born on Wednesday, September 14, 1932, in Bismarck to the late Clarence Lee and Stella Ruth (Farr) Grider.

Erma was a member of Jonesboro Methodist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia and a former member of Bismarck Methodist Church. In her earlier years she was involved with the Girl Scouts and Riverdale Athletics Association. She was known as a second mom to many, from car-pooling, field trips and feeding the team she was always there. She enjoyed planning family gatherings to researching genealogy but her pride and joy came from her grandchildren. Erma was also an avid Coca-Cola drinker.

In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald “Don” Eugene Holdman; brother, Eddie Lee Grider; sister, Patricia Grider-Miller; niece, Sherry Lea Miller; brothers-in-law, Darrel Holdman, Jim Holdman, Larry Holdman, Ron Mann, Jim Martin and Darrell Bradley and Charles Neidig; sisters-in-law, Eileen Holdman, Carolyn Martin and Janet Holdman.

Erma is survived by three daughters, Terry Krakeel and husband Rudy, Lisa Keith and husband David, Laurie Seba and husband Rick; four grandchildren, Angela Moss and husband Chris, Christopher Seba, Jennifer Boswell and husband Kyle, Holden Keith; four great-grandchildren, Peyton and Makenzie Boswell, Addison and Ryan Moss; sisters-in-law, Beverly Neidig, Bonnie Bradley, Ruth Ellen Holdman and Becky Holdman; brother-in-law, Travis Holdman along with other friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM with Rev. Susan Fenker officiating. Burial to follow at Grider Cemetery.
