Ernest Lloyd Jarvis

          Ernest Lloyd Jarvis, 77, of Bonne Terre, passed away, December 2, 2021, at St. Louis University.  He was born November 14, 1944, in Potosi, to the late Ernest V. “Dude” and Hazel (Wilson) Jarvis.  Ernest is a member of Wortham Church of God.  He served his country in the United States Air Force, until retiring after 20 years.  Ernest then worked for the Department of Corrections in the State of Missouri for another 20 years.

                   He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother of his children, Janet (Campbell) Jarvis; siblings, Steve Jarvis, and Dwayne Jarvis in infancy.

          Ernest is survived by his wife Carmelita (Catig) Jarvis; children, Ernest Virgil Jarvis and wife Kelly, Catherine Riney and husband John, Janet Renshaw and husband Rev. John Burton; step-sons, George Campbell and wife Karen, Richard Tugaoen, Michael Tugaoen, and Dante Tugaoen, Jr.; grandchildren, Shane Lawson, Jennifer Kimbel, Jenna Renshaw, Alexandrea Jarvis, Katie Mayberry, Clarissa Kimbel, Hannah Jarvis, Shayla Lawson and Jenni Renshaw; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger Jarvis and wife Beverly, Rick Jarvis; and a sister in-law, Twila Jarvis; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The visitation will resume Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.  Reverend Carl Wilson will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
