Esther Lucille Kaiser

Esther L. Kaiser of Wilmington, North Carolina, formerly of Wasilla, Alaska went to our heavenly Father on June 18, 2016. She was born August 26, 1918 to the late John and Lena (Kammholz) Dahlke in Banner, Missouri. While attending Southeast Missouri State University, she met the love of her life, Harold Murel Kaiser. There were married shortly before the United States entered World War II in 1939. She worked as a junior engineer at McDonnell Aircraft, helping with the war effort. After the war, two children were born, John Kaiser (Kristine) who resides in Kure Beach, North Carolina and Kathren Fowler who preceded her in death. Esther's family lived in Gary, Indiana, Granite City, Illinois, and Davenport, Iowa. She earned an M.A. from the University of Iowa and was a passionate reading teacher for many years.
