Evelyn Barney, formerly of Pilot Knob, Missouri, passed away in St. Louis, Missouri on March 29, 2023 at the age of 92 years. She was born on October 25, 1930 in Broken Bow, Nebraska to the late Elijah and Laura (Hill) Coffman. She married Harvey Richard Barney on June 16, 1971 and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2010. Evelyn was the stepmother of three daughters; Connie Rudd, Darcy Stewart and Brenda Barney. She was a sister to Ron Coffman and Donna Cruz who preceded her in death. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Evelyn loved her cat and she loved to read. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as often as she could. Evelyn attended the First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob when she lived in the area. She had a very powerful faith – yet she was gentle and genuine. She quietly shared her faith to those around her, leading some to know the Lord. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Jarod Stoner will be officiating.
