Evelyn G. Hollihan

Mrs. Evelyn G. 'Hardesty' Elser Hollihan passed away June 29, 2003, at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries Home, Cabot, PA., at the age of 77 years, 8 months & 22 days. Evelyn was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Doe Run & was the daughter of John Edward Hardesty & Mabel Gertrude 'Snowdell' Hardesty. She was also preceded in death by: her 1st husband, Gilbert Elser; her 2nd husband, Vernon Hollihan; 1 Brother, Eugene F. Hardesty, & 1 Step-Sister, Mary 'Snowdell' Gann. Evelyn was: * a member of the Tarrentum, PA., First Church of the Nazarene; * a former active member of The Doe Run Church of God where she faithfully taught Sunday School for many years; * she retired in 1971 after 25 years @ Trimfoot Shoe Company, in Farmington; SURVIVORS INCLUDE: 2 DAUGHTERS - Kathleen 'Mrs. Greg' Metercic, of Pennsylvania; Susan 'Mrs. Ralph' Bozella, of Colorado; 2 SONS: Kenneth & Lee Hollihan, both of Pennsylvania; 1 BROTHER: John E. Hardesty, of Elvins, MO; 1 Sister-In-Law: Olivett 'Ellison' Hardesty, of Anderson, Ind; 1 NIECE: Sue 'Mrs. Don' Hartzell, of Anderson, Ind; 1 NEPHEW: Eugene (& Darice) Hardesty, Jr., of Anderson, Ind.; 8 Step-Grandchildren; 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Nieces & 2 Great-Nephews. Visitation, Wednesday, 12 Noon -to- service time at 2:00 p.m., at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL with Rev. Darlene Williams officiating. Interment at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
