Fern Kassabaum

Miss Fern Kassabaum passed away early Monday morning, September 21, 2009, at her Farmington Presbyterian Manor residence at the age of 91 years, 3 months & 15 days. Fern was born on June 6, 1918, in Doe Run, and was the daughter of Henry & Nellie Elizabeth 'Hollinger' Kassabaum. Also preceding in death were: 1 Brother - Vyman Glen Kassabaum & 4 Sisters - Minnie Eva Hahn; Rosie Karsch & 2 Sisters, stillborn.

Fern was: * a 50+ year member of the Order of the Eastern Star; * a member of the 55+ Club; * member of the Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers Union & * a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, of Farmington.

Survivors Include : her Brother, Fred Kassabaum, of Bonne Terre; a Niece, Carolyn Jacobson, of Kankakee, IL; 2 Nephews: Gerald Lynn Kassabaum, of Terre du Lac & Lynn Hahn, of Bonne Terre. 2 Great-Nephews: Kerry Kassabaum, of Terre du Lac & Adam Jacobson, of San Francisco, CA.

Visitation : Wednesday, 5-8 p.m., with Eastern Star services @ 7 p.m. Visitation resumes Thursday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Thursday, 11:00 a.m., Sept. 24, 2009,

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Dr. Rick Broadway officiating.

Interment follows at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery, Doe Run, MO.
