Florence "Tillie" Mayse

Florence “Tillie” Crawford Mayse, of Farmington, MO, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Clermont Manor in St. Louis, MO at the age of 92. She was born September 29, 1932 in Memphis, TN. In 1951 she married Fred Mayse, and they enjoyed 63 years together until his death in 2015. They had two daughters, Lynda Faye and Lisa Ann, six beloved grandchildren and two great-grands. Tillie returned to college when her children were in junior high school and graduated first in her class at Missouri Baptist University. A long teaching career in the Parkway School District followed, where she made a difference in the lives of each of her students. Tillie was very active in her church, First Baptist Church of Farmington and her local PEO.

Tillie was unfailingly gracious, kind and giving. She found joy in caring for her family, and for so many others who had need. She was a Godly, Christian woman – heart, soul and mind – and her love for Jesus informed all that she was. She knew that heaven was hers, and we rejoice knowing she is home with Fred and all her family. She will be loved and missed forever!

Tillie is survived by her daughters, Lisa Ann (Ray) Eberle-Mayse and Lynda Faye (Mike) Maskin; six grandchildren, Leanne (Alberto), Mac, David (Abby), Sarah, Anna (Dylan) and Daniel; two great-grandchildren, Dutch and Sydney. Several nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel at 111 E. Liberty St., Farmington, MO on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume at the First Baptist Church of Farmington at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22 with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM with Rev. Rocky Good officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Life Plus Ministry of First Baptist Church of Farmington, to the Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry at 765 Weber Rd., Farmington, MO 63640, Alzheimer’s Association, or to the charity of your choice.
