Floyd "Bud" Alexander Allen, age 90 years and 322 days, of Farmington, Missouri, passed away with his boots on at his home on October 3, 2024. He was born on November 15, 1933, in Clubb, Missouri, in Wayne County, to the late Asa Alexander Allen and Clara Catherine (Sullivan) Allen. He is preceded in death by his beloved wives, Helen Margie (Williams) Allen and Mary Magdalene (Liley) Allen; his sisters, Margaret Travers, Irene Malloy, Hilda Estes, Juanita Cramer and Mary Engstrom; stepfather, Adolph Sullivan, and granddaughter, Mary Catherine Deeds.


Floyd is survived by his only daughter, Kimberly Ann (and William) Brawley, of Bonne Terre, Missouri; his grandchildren, Helen Jean Brawley, Naomi Joy Deeds, Valerie Ann Gennings, Lydia Rose (Deeds) Loveless, Emily Faye (Deeds) Loveless and William Lee Brawley, Junior; many great grandchildren including Colton Lee Stafford, Asher Wayne Stafford and Rowan Michael Watson; nieces; nephews and cousins; and special caregiver, Evelyn Ames, and her son, Levi.


Floyd graduated the eighth grade from the St. Louis Public School in June of 1950. He served in the United States Army beginning in December 1955 and was honorably discharged in December 1961. He spent many years in the businesses of real estate and insurance. He enjoyed gardening, camping, playing cards and over the years, his dogs Benji and Penny.


A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the New Prospect (Bounds Creek) Cemetery in Silva, Missouri, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Helen. All are welcome to attend.
