Mrs. Frances Lenora Mund passed away early Saturday morning, February 23, 2002, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, in St. Louis, Mo., at the age of 86 years, 1 month & 14 days. She was born January 9, 1916, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to Benjamin Harrison Hawkins & Edith 'Layman' Hawkins. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John Mund (Sept. 23, 1971); 2 Sisters; 1 Brother & 1 Great-Granddaughter, Katherine Whitener. Mrs. Mund was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmington. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: 6 DAUGHTERS: Helen Mund, Hamburg, Ark; Mary 'Mrs. Chester' Hartwick, Belleview, MO; Edith Mund, Caledonia, MO; Ruth 'Mrs. Paul' Pinson, Collinsville, OK; Frances 'Mrs. James' Nickelson, Doe Run & Daisy Mae 'Mrs. Sam' Whitener, Farmington. 2 SONS: William (& Tammy) Mund, Farmington; John Mund, Farmington. 3 SISTERS: Gladys Duvall, Leitchfield, KY; Nellie Cannon, Neponset, IL & Nona Williams, GA. Also, 12 GRANDCHILDREN & 22 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. Visitation starts Monday, 5:00 p.m., & resumes Tuesday, 7:00 a.m. Funeral Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., February 26, 2002, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, Farmington, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating. Interment, Knob Lick Cemetery. Memorials to: Kaytee Whitener Memorial Scholarship Fund.
