Frances Yount

Frances Yount, 82, of Desloge, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, surrounded by the ones she loved. Born on July 14, 1944, in Farmington, she was the beloved daughter of the late Orville David and Thena Marie (King) Rosener. 

A devoted member of the Mineral Area Baptist Church, Frances found great joy in her faith and community. An adventurous spirit, she loved camping in their RV, always eager to explore the beauty of nature. Frances was also highly skilled in cosmetology, but her most cherished role was as a nurturing cook. Her family fondly remembers her delicious chicken and dumplings, a recipe that brought warmth and happiness to many gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of nearly 55 years, James “Jack” Yount; and the couple’s furry companion, Maggie.

Frances is survived by one son, Richard “Rick” Yount; one brother, James “Jim” Rosener and wife Barbara; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, also survive.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, September 21, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The visitation will resume, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Bonne Terre.
