Frank Beard

January 4, 1960 — November 25, 2021

Frank Beard

Franklin Beard, 61, of Bismarck, passed away November 25, 2021, at Jefferson Mercy in Festus.  He was born January 4, 1960, in Poplar Bluff, to the late Leroy and Wanda Ann (Morris) White.  Frank was an amazing father and husband. His family was everything to him! There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his wife, kids, grandkids or his Hoover driver.  Frank loved talking on his cb’s he loved to fix and work on them too. His cb handle was Skeleton. He loved to work his backhoe and skid steer. He also loved hunting and fishing. He also had a green thumb, he loved his plants and could grow a garden like no other! He enjoyed working on lawnmowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, etc. Frank has been a father figure for so many kids in the neighborhood for so many years. They all knew they could come to him for anything. Most of those kids now have kids of their own. They could always come to the house to talk, for advice, something to eat or just to hang out. He loved to climb, trim, and cut down trees.  Frank never had a problem telling anyone what he thought, but he would also be the first one there if you needed him. Don’t ask Frank anything unless you wanted the honest truth. He loved mud trucks and four wheeler’s. He loved to race and get his Scout muddy.  He’s had that Scout for 30 years, it was his baby. If you went to Frank’s, you knew you’d be there a while, he loved to talk and expect to see him in his boxers. Those were his clothes of choice.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; as well as his brother, Charlie Beard; and Roy Cain that he raised as a son.

Frank is survived by his wife and best friend of 23 plus years, Tonya (Sorden) Beard.  They could still stay up all night just talking. If her back hurt he’d rub it, if her feet hurt or they were swollen he’d massage them. We loved to binge watch different series on Netflix, each evening before bed. I could talk to him about anything. We offset each other so well, I was his voice of reason as he was mine.  He was also survived by children, Frank (Staci) Beard, Holly (Megan Moss) Beard, Brianna Beard, Franklin Dylan Beard, Franklin Nathan Beard, Franklin Gary Beard, Ted (Heather) Northcutt; grandchildren, Cody (Lindsay) Schafluetzel Grady Moss, Lydia Moss, and Cole Schiller; siblings, Greg (Kim) Westmoreland and Doug (Angie) Dunn.

A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The family asks that masks or facial coverings be worn at all times.
