Franklin Paul Zeleny of Annapolis, MO passed away November 28, 2014 at his residence at the age of 93 years. He was born July 21, 1921 in Billings, OK the son of the late Joseph Paul and Celia (Martinek) Zeleny. On September 2, 1950 he was united in marriage to Edith Louis Stephens who preceded him in death on January 1, 2010. To this union five children were born; Stephanie Bridges of De Soto, MO, Stephen Zeleny and wife Phyllis of Arcadia, MO, Tracey Zeleny of Annapolis, MO, Roberta Middleton of Annapolis, MO, and Christopher Zeleny and wife Heather of Farmington, MO. In addition to his children Frank is survived by eight grandchildren; Rebecca Zeleny, Kristi (Jason) McGraw, Chad (Rebecca Middleton), Drew Middleton, Jared Middleton, Sarah Zeleny, Heather (Ray) Jones, and Shailah Zeleny, six great great grandchildren; Ethan McGraw, Aden McGraw, Tyson McGraw, Andrew Jones, Alex Jones, Kinley Middleton, and Hallie Middleton as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Edith, his brother, Antone Zeleny, his sons-in-law; Aaron Middleton and Ed Bridges, and his oldest grandson, Geoffrey Bridges. Mr. Zeleny served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. After his service to his country, Mr. Zeleny worked in construction, operating heavy equipment most of his life. He came to Missouri, working on the new highway 67 coming south through the Bonne Terre/Desloge/Flat River (Park Hills) area. When that job was completed, he moved his family further south working on the Taum Sauk Reservoir. He worked in New Madrid at the NaRanda Plant and eventually began working at the plant located in Annapolis, working there for 40 years. He retired at the age of 88 years old.
