Fred Means

Fred Means, 71, of Park Hills, passed away May 1, 2023, at Parkland Hospital in Farmington.  He was born May 21, 1951, in Wortham, to the late Gentry Ira and Cleo (Welker) Means.  Fred enjoyed golfing, fishing, and NASCAR. Fred was a member of Pendleton Baptist Church in Doe Run. He retired from Potosi Correctional Center in maintenance as a boiler operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Obbie Means; sisters, Darlene Tucker, Karen Wortham, Carol Jones.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, of 25 years, Patti (Hulsey) Means; children, Mike Means and wife Lori, Emma Means and fiancé Garet Harbison; step-daughter, Julie Harrison and husband Scott; grandchildren, Chris Means and wife Cynthia, Jordan Means, Cody Means and fianceé Shelby Stradella, Caroline Penberthy, Katherine Harrison, Jacob Harrison; great-granddaughter, Delaney Penberthy; siblings, Sherry Helms and husband Charles, Yvonne Weiss, Sandy Lawson; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son in Desloge on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ed Watson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
